Discover the free tour of Pasajes (Pasaia), an essential tour near San Sebastián where history, sea and tradition intertwine.
On this free tour of Pasaia, we'll begin in Pasai San Pedro , where we'll delve into the town's maritime essence by visiting the fish market , a key space for understanding the local fishing tradition. We'll continue to the centuries-old Church of San Pedro and visit the birthplace of Blas de Lezo , one of the most illustrious figures in Spanish naval history.
Along the route we will also discover corners full of local identity, such as the statue dedicated to Aita Manuel , an emblematic figure of Basque rowing, and we will learn about the fundamental role of the Pasajes motorboat , a traditional transport that has connected both shores for generations.
After this first part, we'll cross over by motorboat to Pasai Donibane , enjoying one of the most authentic views of the Basque coast. There we'll visit places like the Humilladero de la Piedad (Shrine of Piety) , the Victor Hugo House Museum , where the famous writer found inspiration during his stay, and the old town hall, the historic center of local life.
We will end the tour with a visit to the Church of Santo Cristo de la Bonanza and a visit to the Albaola Museum , a benchmark in the recovery of the Basque naval tradition, where history, culture and the sea come together to complete a comprehensive experience.
