On this tour, we will walk around the majestic Shuri Castle, the center of the ancient Ryukyu Kingdom. But it won't be a boring history lesson; I'll tell you how this small island was an independent kingdom that traded with all of Asia, developing a unique culture that you won't see in the rest of Japan.
What will we do on this tour?
The Gates of History: We will start at the iconic Shureimon, a symbol of Ryukyu's courtesy.
Architecture and Resilience: I'll tell you about the reconstruction of the castle and how the spirit of "Ichariba Chode" (once we meet, we are brothers) keeps this community alive.
Sacred Stone Paths: We will stroll along the ancient stone pavements of Kinjo-cho, a place that will make you feel like you've traveled back in time.
Panoramic Views: We will end at a strategic point with the best views of Naha, perfect for your souvenir photos.
Important information about the entrance:
The main tour route is through the free areas and historical surroundings. However, if you wish to enter the inner area of Shuri Castle (the reconstruction zone), the entrance fee is not included and is the responsibility of each visitor (400 yen, approx 2.5 USD). It's completely optional!
