Berlin Time Machine: History, Beer and Currywurst
Berlin feels like a time machine built from streets, stories, and street food. We meet for orientation at St. Mary’s Church / Alexanderplatz then walk through Hackescher Markt into Berlin’s historic core.
At Museum Island / Lustgarten we pause for an optional beer toast and decode “how Berlin became Berlin” (grand plans, collapse, reinvention) with stories, questions, and good energy.
Then the tone deepens: memorial stops and Bebelplatz (the 1933 book burning) as Berlin’s public warning system. From there we hit Checkpoint Charlie to unpack Cold War life in a split city, and we finish at Topography of Terror with a classic currywurst near the Berlin Wall.
Food & drinks are pay-as-you-go (you choose).
Typical spend €10–€20 + tip.
You’ll also get an always-updated Berlin “Do Next” list (restaurants, bars, museums, exhibitions, events).
The tour lasts 3 hours
Available in English and Portuguese
Guide: Rodolfo
Guiding since 2025Hi, I’m Rodolfo. I enjoy telling stories, connecting with people, and turning a city walk into something memorable. Berlin is full of history, contrasts, hidden corners, and surprising details, and my goal is to make the tour feel like walking with a local friend who knows how to bring the city to life.
