Historic Buenos Aires and cultural subway (metro)

The tour lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes
Available in Spanish

Description

Discover Buenos Aires in a unique way by combining a walk through its historic center with a one-of-a-kind experience on the subway. On this free tour, you'll explore the historical and cultural heart of the Argentine capital while also visiting some of its most iconic stations.

We begin in Plaza de Mayo, where we'll learn about the city's origins, the Casa Rosada (Pink House), and the Cabildo (Old City Hall). Then we'll stroll along Avenida de Mayo, admiring its European architecture and historic cafes like Café Tortoni.

We continued towards the Obelisk and Corrientes Avenue, the city's cultural and theatrical center. Afterwards, we took a subway ride to experience Buenos Aires' metro system and explore stations, discovering their history, art, and urban significance.

Important: This tour includes a subway ride. The cost of the subway ride is not included in the tour price, and each participant must have a valid ticket to access the subway. The fare is the current public transport rate. The guide has a SUBE card to facilitate access for the group, so participants do not need their own.

We also visited the Callao area, with its references to Argentine culture and comics like Mafalda. We finished in Recoleta, one of the city's most elegant neighborhoods, with its French architecture and the history of Eva Perón.

A complete tour to understand Buenos Aires from the surface and also from its transport system, traveling like a local.
