Join me in a unique walking tour outside Brașov German Citadel, specially designed for you to feel and explore the picturesque Old Romanian neighbourhood where the Romanians have been living for centuries.
Let's have a walk together in this quiet, less known area of Brașov with a more rural appearance, many small houses, narrow streets and green gardens, just at the foot of Tâmpa mountain.
You will hear the history of "Troițe", testimonies of the Orthodox tradition of Brașov and about the very old tradition of "Juni", the Youth of Brașov and their horse parade, unique in Romania, some of the most important symbols of this old Romanian settlement.
We shall see about 8 *troițe* during our tour, dating from XVIIth- XVIIIth century, erected in stone or wood at the foot of the mountain, in front of houses or at crossroads. I shall not reveal their names and the places where they are located as it is a protected area and also because I want to keep this charming area away from mass tourism.
Walk with me in an authentical place, far from the crowds, a true hidden gem that even the locals overlook and most tourists never see!
