Your adventure begins at almost century old factory, where you’ll watch aunties expertly making cakes like edible magic. From there, wander down alleys perfumed with wok-fried noodles and coconut milk, sampling Penang’s iconic char koay teow, nasi lemak, and assam laksa. Sip on fragrant kopi-o or a sweet rose syrup drink as your guide serves up tasty tales of how each dish reflects the island’s colorful mix of cultures.

Between bites, you’ll pop into family-run stalls and century-old shophouses, meeting the proud locals who’ve been stirring, steaming, and serving joy for generations. Expect laughter, a little spice, and the irresistible urge to photograph everything (before eating it, of course). End the tour pleasantly stuffed, culturally enriched, and secretly plotting your return because one food tour in Penang is never enough.

We offer this as a minimum TIP-BASED tour, with a suggested tip of RM170 (€37/US42/£32) per person (which covered the food tasting costs of over 17+ tastings of food and drinks).
