Description
A Tour to Discover the Real Amsterdam
Amsterdam is much more than its canals, bicycles, and narrow houses that we see on postcards. It is a city made of contrasts, stories, and continuous transformations.
In this approximately two-hour tour, we will start from Dam Square and immerse ourselves in the historic heart of the city, strolling among canals, squares, and lesser-known corners. We will cross the picturesque Begijnhof, the ancient courtyard of the Beguines, pass by the famous floating flower market, and end our journey around the Opera, crossing some of the most characteristic places in the center.
Along the way, we will talk about the history of Amsterdam, its architecture, and the incredible canal system that has helped transform it into one of the most important cities in Europe. But we will also talk about the daily life of the Amsterdammers, their habits, bicycles, traditions, and all those little curiosities that allow us to see the city with different eyes.
The idea is to go beyond the classic tourist image and tell the many souls of Amsterdam: a city with more than 700 years of history, which has been able to continuously change without losing its identity.
