Thank you for booking and for visiting Coimbra. As it says on the website and as I said during my visit, it's not possible to avoid going uphill in the city. You need to be willing, patient and enjoy walking around and getting to know the city. I'm sorry that wasn't fully understood. If people don't have that kind of willingness and understanding, as I say, it's still worth taking a tour. I tried to walk as calmly as possible to make it as easy as possible. The city has a lot of history and traditions, there were many suggestions for things to do in the city and the country, and many of these things cannot be avoided on the tour. Otherwise, we wouldn't have left the downtown area and the tour would have taken 45 minutes!

Coimbra is a beautiful city and João is a wonderful guide - he is knowledgeable, friendly, and very accommodating. We were very lucky to be on our own with him and he was careful to go slow and take breaks for my parents, who have some mobility issues. The route was also great - some of the old town, up to the university, and then through the botanical gardens. João gave us a great mix of history, culture, and recommendations (food and shopping). Please book João for your trip to Coimbra!
