Born and raised in the beautiful and historic city of Coimbra. I have a bachelor's degree in anthropology and a master's degree in cultural heritage management and programming from the University of Coimbra). Coimbra is a beautiful city and João is a wonderful guide - he is knowledgeable, friendly, and very accommodating. We were very lucky to be on our own with him and he was careful to go slow and take breaks for my parents, who have some mobility issues. The route was also great - some of the old town, up to the university, and then through the botanical gardens. João gave us a great mix of history, culture, and recommendations (food and shopping).
