If you want to have a different experience than the ordinary; please join Javlon in a day of countryside adventure. From taking the local bus to a country bazaar an hour outside the city to a “mountaintop mosque with panoramic views of the valley below. Then back to the bazaar to have a lunch like a local. Javlon was attentive and very informative. He is definitely an ambassador for Uzbekistan. His love of place is clearly expressed.

Javlon was a great guide, and it was interesting to hear about his experience going from being an electrician to wanting to become a tour guide. He was very articulate and funny, and he connected with us and the other family on our tour well. His perspective on Tashkent as a local was interesting and provided good insights about how life has changed since Uzbekistan's independence. Javlon was also very helpful, providing recommendations for what we should try in each stop of our trip and guiding us all the way from our final stop on the tour to the train station, including taking the metro and a bus out of his way home.

Sowjetisches Taschkent bei Winternacht 🌅

I really enjoyed the walking tour with Bakhtiyor! It was a great introduction to Tashkent, with lots of interesting information, opportunities to try local food, and plenty of time for questions. Bakhtiyor was friendly and helpful, and even helped me get a local SIM card when I was having internet problems. It was also a great opportunity to meet other travelers. Definitely recommend!

Best walking tour we’ve done

I thoroughly enjoyed this walking tour! It was engaging throughout, with a wonderful mix of historical information, cultural context, and hands-on experiences. We got to taste several delicious traditional foods and even participate in a bread-making demonstration, which was a lovely touch! Donat was an excellent guide: knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly thoughtful. He came prepared with wipes and utensils for all the food tastings, which I really appreciated. I also loved how he would stop along the way to greet people he knew (which felt like the whole city). It made the whole experience feel less like a formal guided tour and more like exploring the city with friends. There was something very intimate, genuine, and wholesome about it and I enjoyed every minute of it. I took this tour on the very last day of my trip, and it was the perfect way to wrap things up, connect the dots, and put everything I had seen into perspective. That said, I think it would be equally wonderful at the beginning of a visit, as it provides such a great introduction to the city's history, culture, and everyday life. Highly recommend!

Javlon was wonderful, very knowledgeable and very kind. Getting out of the city was very interesting. The hike up to the mosque was manageable, worth the view at the top. We were able to try cherries, apples and walnuts right off the tree. This tour will certainly be one of the top highlights of my trip to Uzbekistan

Probs the best guru walk I have joined. Donat was a very engaging guide who shared his knowledge generously. It was even better because his relationships enabled us to taste, share and experience a bit of local life.

I've done several walking tours now, and can honestly say that Donat's is the best I've ever done. Incredibly well researched, showed us lots of interesting things about Tashkent, showed us around the bazaar, and I'm still spouting facts from his tour!! Incredible. You must do this tour.

Javlon took us through a route that beautifully connected important landmarks. We walked through parks and took metro. We visited places which if not the tour we would have completely missed.

An extremely thorough tour. Don't be put off by the 4 hour length. The time flies by and the last hour is taken up by lunch at the Plov Centre.

Highly recommend this tour! It was seamlessly organized and packed with fascinating cultural details. Bahtiyor was more like a friend than a guide, showing us the absolute best of Uzbekistan. Riding the metro and digging into local plov together were major highlights!
