Bayonne is the first chocolate-producing city in France, and through its port chocolate was introduced to the country for the first time 400 years ago. Here the first chocolate craftsmen of France began to work in a masterful way the cocoa beans and immediately the town became famous for the quality of its raw materials and the excellence in its cocoa creations. Through this route we will get to know the most emblematic places of the chocolate route, and we will enter the Historic Center "bayonnais", where we will also discover some of the most emblematic "confiseries", "pâtisseries" and "boulangeries" of the city " gourmand ". 16:00 Meeting point: Mairie or Bayonne Town Hall (Place de la Liberté). 16:15 Rue Port Neuf, the street of the historic chocolate shops. 16:45 Rue D'Espagne and visit to Pâtisserie Bamas (declared "Best pastry artisan in France" and World Champion of frozen desserts ") 17:15 Return to the meeting point through the streets of the" Vieille Ville ". 17:30 Farewell IMPORTANT NOTES: 1.- "This tour is a guided tour of the areas described, and does NOT include the drinks or purchases that visitors make.
