About the tour

Want to learn how graffiti fits into Bogotá’s history and allure? Join us in this tour not only of Colombia’s history as told by art!

Bogotá has become a world reference in graffiti. It boasts impressive murals and street art that place it above cities like Miami, Amsterdam, Río, and Ciudad de México. It's rise as one of the key city-canvases in Latin America has made it an attractive destination for the curious tourist and the bold artist. Would you have guessed?

As with graffiti everywhere else, Bogotá’s history with the art has often been tense. But great art can overcome negative labels. Right now, no one would call it vandalism. It has struggled but has earned its place and the city is better for it. The mixture of social and political commentary with a twist of local and foreign styles make Bogotá’s graffiti truly a sight to behold.

So, join us in this tour not only of Colombia’s history as told by art, but a tour of Bogotá’s streets as a curated museum of amazing artists!

What's the price?

A guruwalk is a pay-what-you want walking tour, which means, it's completely free to book and join the group, but the 'guru' expects to be rewarded once the tour ends. Some people give 5, some people give 50, you choose the price.

Reservations in advance are mandatory because if the 'guru' doesn't see any bookings one day, she will not show up at the meeting point. Or if she has too many 'walkers' that day, won't allow you to join without the reservation. Booking is completely free, fast and easy. Book your guruwalk now!

El tour puede mejorar su dinámica narrativa, ser mucho más ameno y que el público interactúe y se haga presente. También sería valioso que se hablara más de los artistas y su contexto, no solo meras descripciones de las obras.

Should be called street art walk - graffiti usually contains a lettered message. Should check out graffiti from Northern Ireland about IRA.

The tour is really interesting and the graffiti really amazing, but it couldn't have been so great without Andres, the best guide in town! He explained me a lot about street art related to Colombia and its history. Definitely worth it!
