About the tour

See Hanoi through the eyes of a local. This experience will let you live, feel & breathe the real Hanoi as you were a Hanoian. We start our journey through time, hearing tales of the war with Chinese, French, and American; learning about the history of the 1000-year-old city and try the best food of Vietnam.

Immerse yourself in Vietnamese culture as we walk through the and visit sites known only to locals (the smallest and longest alley, and a hidden temple) and have a deep understanding of religions, history of Vietnam. There will be plenty of time for photographs, as you see how Vietnamese really live in the city.

Alma was just the best! She was super enthusiastic and we had a great evening trying new dishes at places we would never have had the opportunity to visit otherwise. We loved hearing about her country, daily life and of course the food! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Hanoi. We spent about 275,000 vnd for both of us and were totally full by the end of the evening.

Our guide, Zel, was really sweet and informative! We got to taste important dishes from the Vietnamese cuisine and we went to interesting places in Hanoi which we would never have found by ourselves. We had fun, experienced a lot, and there was a chance for cultural exchange over a Vietnamese egg-coffee. I was really happy to spend these hours of my holiday on this tour. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing food tour with the one and only Dawn! She took us to the best places to eat around old quarter and it was totally worth it! She also took us through old stories and history of the old quarter while moving from one eatery to another! She also provided us with the list of restaurants that we visited the next day when we wanted to visit them again! She was the sweetest! Highly recommended!
