IT IS MANDATORY TO WEAR THE EARPIECE AND PAY THE DEPOSIT TO TAKE THE TOUR.
3. THE ENTRANCE TO THE GLASS FACTORY COSTS BETWEEN 5 AND 8€ PER PERSON. The tour ends near the factory so that those who wish to pay and enter can do so.
4. Groups of more than 6 people are not allowed, EVEN IF THEY COME WITH DIFFERENT RESERVATIONS. The guide may refuse admission to these groups on the tour.
On this tour, we will visit the two most well-known and interesting islands near Venice: Murano and Burano. Murano Island is famous for its blown glass production. During the tour, we will walk along the Canal dei Vetrai, filled with shops displaying and selling the finest Murano glass pieces. Besides glass, Murano offers a significant artistic and cultural scene, highlighting the Basilica of Santa Maria and San Donato, a masterpiece of Italian Romanesque architecture, or the Church of San Pietro Martire, famous for its blown glass chandeliers. We will also visit a glass factory where those interested can watch a demonstration by a master glassblower on how glass is blown. On the island of Burano, we will find a small and beautiful fishing village known for its residents painting their houses in bright and cheerful colors, giving the island a very picturesque appearance. There, we will see the leaning Tower of San Martino and the peculiar Casa di Bepi, an interesting and beloved resident of Burano. The streets of Burano are filled with shops where lace-making, known as merletto, is carried out. The tour will also include gastronomic and cultural recommendations.
