Tour description

At the forefront of fashion and technology yet deeply traditional, Seoul brings together palaces, temples, avant-garde design and mountain trails.
On our tour we will discover a fascinating mix of old and new , traditional culture with contemporary attractions.
We are going to explore the Gwanghwamun and Jongno-gu area.
The focus of attention in this area, and probably in the entire city, is the royal palace of Seoul Gyeongbokgung. To continue our walking circuit through some of the best palaces, Confucian shrines and Buddhist temples in Seoul, it will be like a trip on the time to the Joseon dynasty.
On the way we will visit traditional tea houses, galleries, bars and craft shops among its labyrinthine streets full of Hanoks .
We will give you the best tips on where to drink and eat such as the famous Korean beer chicken among others.

Some highlights of the tour:

  • Gyeongbokgung Palace
  • Jogye-sa Temple
  • KCDF Craft Gallery
  • Insadong: Cheap Shopping
  • dawon tea house

I think this tour was fantastic! Moises did a great job showing the main stops of downtown Seoul. He was knowledgeable, fun and cordial, which I highly appreciated. I felt very welcome in the tour. In terms of making it even better than it is, I think the meeting point should be different while the city hall area is under construction (could be tough to find behind all the awnings) and because it's a bustling city, it would help if the guide has a microphone or something so we can hear better. Overall well done, and good luck to you Moises! Hope more people will use this tour as an intro to downtown Seoul.
