I simply LOVE Warsaw. I was born here and even though we don’t know our future, my heart will always stay here (but maybe not as literally as Chopin’s). I know how to show you the city in such a way that you’ll be looking forward to coming back here and discovering other parts of it. I’m an LGBT+ activist and I used to organize the Warsaw Equality Parade (I will tell you why we don’t call it Pride, yet) so I can tell you a lot about the life of LGBTQ+ people in the capital of Poland. I’ll be also more than happy to share some juicy stories about Warsaw gay-life so ask me about anything!

Tour description

Just arrived in Warsaw and trying to find out whether you can hang out with your partner in a gay friendly environment? Get hosted by a guide belonging to Warsaw’s LGBT+ community who will introduce you to the city and its rainbow side like no one else.

First, you'll find out where and what was the brights side to be locked up by the “Milicja” (the police back in Communist Poland) and as we continue our walk from the meeting point, through Plac Bankowy and Saski Park you'll learn why Warsaw Pride is called the Equality Parade or how far right groups and nationalists hatefully shout slogans which commemorate a lesbian writer (without probably realizing).

Of course, you’ll get from me a list of places worth visiting, eg. restaurants, bars and clubs.

The tour will end in Plac Zbawiciela associated with well known hipster cafes but above it all with a symbol of a struggle for equal rights that were constantly set on fire.

So don’t hesitate any longer and book some rainbow time with me 🌈

This was an awesome tour! Maciek is a super knowledgeable and fun guide, and we covered a lot of ground (both literally and figuratively) on the tour. It was a great way to see Warsaw! My only regret is not doing it sooner when I first arrived in the city. Highly recommend!

As a 60-year old gay man visiting Warsaw alone, I did wonder what this would be like. But Maciek is disarmingly charming and intelligent with a huge amount of positive energy. I very much learned how, yes, the Polish government is stupidly anti-LGBT but that activists such as him in Warsaw are fighting back. Warsaw itself is very safe for gay visitors, and very much a liberal and dynamic city. Maciek is relatively new to doing the walking tours and is still learning what works best, but he's really worth joining (a few of us from the tour went for a few drinks after too, which added to the general enjoyment of the evening).

The tour is wonderful! We've spent 2,5 hours visiting a loooot of interesting places around Warsaw. We just loved all the stories presented by Maciek. If you want to spend time with a very nice, fun and interesting person, like Maciek, to get to know more about a life of LGBT+ community in Warsaw (from PPR times up till now), to see a beautiful Warsaw's city center, I highly recommend you to book this tour!

We loved Maciek’s tour. He’s passionate and knowledgeable about the subject (and Warsaw in general). The theme of the tour was well defined and executed, and he shared different aspects of the rainbow life in Warsaw and Poland. Maciek also provided some very useful tips about places to visit and things to do. This helped a lot with filling our spontaneous trip with tasty points of interest!
