Hello - My name is Neil, I am 65 years old and have Lived and worked in Liverpool all of my life. I am a great admirer of the city, its people and its culture. I have been working as a local guide since 2012 undertaking over 200 full day tours in and around the city. I am happy and proud to report I consistently receive 5 STAR reviews for my tours and will endeavour to ensure this continues. This free walking tour is the culmination of my work so far. I have been astonished at the changes to the city landscape over the last 20 years and have witnessed the resurgence of Liverpool to become once again a global city of importance. I will be proud to guide you through this cities many wonderful attractions. I often say my life my earliest memory at the age of eight was hearing the iconic roll of drums that opened the Beatles first massive hit 'She Loves You' on the radio. My love of their unique sound and melodies has never diminished since. Ever proud of our most famous sons’ Beatles fans will find Liverpool still dances to the Mersey Beat! If you should book a free walking tour with me you will hopefully find me, as others do, a warm and friendly man with a wicked sense of humour and a genuine love for his City. I look forward to meeting you and sharing safely an unforgettable experience of Liverpool.

Tour description

Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle is a historic city area, close to the city centre, which has experienced an incredible renaissance making it one of ‘the’ places to see and hang out. You could say it is Liverpool’s hidden gem! Just a stone’s throw from Albert Dock – the city’s World Heritage Site – and shopping hot-spot Liverpool One, the Triangle has been reclaimed and resurrected by a growing colony of creative people, entrepreneurs, and their combined businesses.

The Baltic Triangle is like nowhere else in Liverpool. A former warehousing area when Liverpool was at its peak as an Atlantic port, many of these buildings have been repurposed and adorned by one of the most stunning collections of street art to be found in any European city.

Think of an abundant and bewildering array of street art - suntrap bars, cosy pubs, gin gardens, a golf course inside a warehouse, quirky restaurants, independent food and vintage markets, coffee shops, breweries, incredible music venues, arcades, skateparks, and a vibe found nowhere else in town! It is in your face, raw, but creative, cosmopolitan but definitely scouse!
We explore the triangle at a relaxed pace. Explore what it offers for you. Pausing for pictures of the incredible art and diving into the many bars and other attractions for a look (or even a quick cheeky beer!)

So on your next trip to Liverpool make sure you bring your camera, book yourself on my walking tour and check out The Baltic Triangle for a taste of the city’s most amazing and creative scene.

Neil was a really knowledgeable guide. The pace is slow, which is fine as you don't feel rushed. There are plenty opportunities to stop and take photos and look around.
