After a few years of working abroad, in what is essentially the classiest city in Europe - Vienna, I decided to move back home where I got my first job in tourism. I can’t pinpoint whether it was I who picked tourism or if tourism picked me. Nevertheless, it wound up to be a life-altering choice! Years later, I’m still in the game and ready to branch out and take control. Where I excel, besides my deep interest in the topic, is my unique approach that is truly personal and tailored to my clients. What is certain is that I won’t take you on an off-the-mill kind of tour. With me as your guide, you’ll learn and experience things profoundly whilst feeling relaxed. Although witty or cheeky at times, I always aim to give my best. My greatest goal is for you to be satisfied and to end up falling in love with my country and its wonders.
Hey guys!
🔸Are you curious to find out about the story behind our winemaker, whose wine was served on the infamous Titanic?
🔸What would eating like a Slovak feel like for a day?
🔸Would you like to know some of the best spots to enjoy your morning coffee, a chilled glass of Prosecco to accompany your lunch, or a lovely glass of wine after your dinner?
🔸How about taking a stroll down the streets where the movie Peacemaker was shot?
If these topics have sparked your interest, you’ve come to the right place, as I shall provide you with the necessary insight and much, much more.
This insightful walk through the Old Town, discovering its cozy streets and all of its preciously hidden nooks and crannies, will set off from the main square – Hviezdoslavovo namestie, and continue through our famous UFO suspension bridge, down to St. Martin’s Cathedral via the former Jewish district and up to the castle.
From there, you’ll get to see the city from a bird’s eye view. On the way back to the Old Town, we’ll pass the Parliament building and Slavin shall be pointed out, and the tour will culminate with us passing through Michael’s gate - the last standing gate of the original city fortification.
Meet me at the Maximilian/Rolland fountain on the Main square (Hlavné námestie). Look out for the four guys taking a piss.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
