Free tour of the Sachsenhausen district
Tour description
We are (mainly) a group of students who love Frankfurt, a city with all its facets and hidden treasures. Frankfurt has so much more to offer than its reputation as a banking city suggests.
Through our donation-based tours, we want to enable everyone to get to know our city in various ways, regardless of the size of their wallet.
Sachsenhausen is one of the most charming neighborhoods in Frankfurt. We will explore its picturesque streets on this free tour in Spanish.
At the indicated time, we will meet at the meeting point to start the free tour.
From there, we will take a walk to the Eiserner Steg bridge. On the other side of the Main River awaits Sachsenhausen: one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Frankfurt. We will stop in front of the Städel Museum, a true artistic reference in the region. After learning about its origins, we will admire the Gothic architecture of the Dreikönigskirche church.
We will continue the free tour in front of the oldest house in Frankfurt. When would you say it was built? The next stop will be on Brückenstrasse, the most famous street in Sachsenhausen. Its shop windows will catch your attention!
Next, we will take a break so that those who wish can enjoy an Apfelwein on their own. This popular apple wine is part of Frankfurt's culinary identity. We will explain some of its gastronomic customs to you! Then we will set our sights on the Kuhhirten Tower, which has a legendary past.
