Free Tour through the Sachsenhausen District

The tour lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes
Available in English and Spanish

Description

We are (mainly) a group of students who love Frankfurt, a city with all its facets and hidden treasures. Frankfurt has so much more to offer than its reputation as a banking city suggests.

Through our donation-based tours, we want to enable everyone to get to know our city in various ways, regardless of the size of their wallet.

Sachsenhausen is one of the most charming districts of Frankfurt. We will stroll through its picturesque streets on this free tour in Spanish.

At the specified time, we will meet at the meeting point to begin the free tour.

From there, we will take a walk to the Eiserner Steg bridge. On the other bank of the Main, Sachsenhausen awaits us: one of the most beautiful districts of Frankfurt. We will stop in front of the Städel Museum, an artistic landmark in the region. After learning about its origins, we will look at the Gothic architecture of the Dreikönigskirche.

We will continue the free tour in front of the oldest residential house in Frankfurt. When would you say it was built? The next stop will be on Brückenstraße, the most famous street in Sachsenhausen. Its shop windows will catch your eye!

Next, we will take a break so that those who wish can try an apple wine on their own. This popular apple wine is part of Frankfurt's culinary identity. We will explain some of its gastronomic customs to you! Afterwards, we will turn our attention to the Kuhhirtenturm, which has a legendary past.
