Hello everyone! I'm an economics professor, passionate about travel, and I believe tourism is an opportunity to learn about other cultures and ways of life. I want people visiting Medellín to have all the information they need to make the most of their time in the city. I want them to have a basic understanding of the available transportation options, the local cuisine, and the most popular tourist attractions, but also to know what locals do to have a great time.

Tour description

LOCATE YOURSELF IN MEDELLÍN

This is a three-hour tour where part of the city's history will be told as you walk through different places in the city center and neighborhoods of El Poblado.

The goal is for people to have a clear understanding of many aspects that a tourist should know, such as: what places to go, where and what to eat, where to have a craft beer, where they can walk without problems, how to use the city's transportation service (metro, tram, cable cars, bus), but also to learn about the attractions in Medellín such as: the graffiti tour, everything related to Pablo Escobar and the painter Fernando Botero, and to describe what there is to see in Envigado and Sabaneta and how to get to those places.

In short, it's a walking tour to familiarize yourself with the area, with a description of what's happening in the city and tourist tips and advice:

  • Poblado Metro Station. Exit
  • San Antonio Square (Fernando Botero's Paloma Sculpture)
  • National Palace Shopping Center and visit to the Art Gallery.
  • Downtown Medellín, Botero Plaza (Fernando Botero Sculptures)
  • Inflexión Memorial Park (Pablo Escobar)
  • Mystical Rose Virgin
  • Santa Fe Shopping Center. Money can be exchanged.
  • President's Park Farmers Market (Sundays Only)
  • Lleras Park
  • Primavera Way. Cafes
  • Provence Restaurants and Bars

Note: You will be walking most of the time, so be prepared to do it for 3 hours.

The subway is used twice, so that expense must be taken into account.

Before the tour, I will write to you to give you directions to the meeting point.

I look forward to seeing you on this very comprehensive tour of the city :)
