LOCATE IN MEDELLÍN

This is a three-hour tour where part of the city's history will be told as you walk through different places in the city center and neighborhoods of El Poblado.

The goal is for people to clearly understand many aspects that a tourist should know, such as: which sites to visit, where and what to eat, where to have a craft beer, where you can walk without problems, how to use the city's transportation service (metro, tram, cables, bus), but also to know the attractions in Medellín such as: the graffiti tour, everything related to Pablo Escobar and the painter Fernando Botero, describing what is in Envigado and Sabaneta and how to get to those places.

In summary, it is a reconnaissance walk of the place where you are, with a description of what is happening in the city and with tourist tips and advice:

  • Poblado Metro Station. Exit
  • San Antonio Plaza (Fernando Botero's Dove Sculpture).
  • Malaga Salon.
  • Hueco Market.
  • National Palace Shopping Center and visit Art Gallery.
  • Veracruz Church.
  • Botero Plaza (Fernando Botero Sculptures)
  • Inflexion Memorial Park (Pablo Escobar)
  • Rosa Mística Virgin
  • Santa Fe Shopping Center. Currency exchange available.
  • La Presidenta Park Farmers Market (Sundays only)
  • Lleras Park
  • Primavera Avenue. Cafés
  • Provenza Restaurants and Bars

Note: Most of the time is spent walking, so you should be prepared to do so for 3 hours.

The metro is used twice, so keep that expense in mind.

Before the tour, I will write to give you instructions on the meeting point.

I look forward to seeing you on this very comprehensive tour of the city :)

The tour lasts 3 hours

Hello everyone! I'm an economics professor, passionate about travel, and I believe tourism is an opportunity to learn about other cultures and ways of life. I want people visiting Medellín to have all the information they need to make the most of their time in the city. I want them to have a basic understanding of the available transportation options, the local cuisine, and the most popular tourist attractions, but also to know what locals do to have a great time.
