Free tour: The Before and After of Modernist Barcelona

The tour lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes
Available in Spanish

Description

In this tour, we will give a few brushstrokes of the modernist route, discover corners of the old road that connected Roman Barcelona with its adjacent towns, and end at the majestic Cathedral.

We will start at the upper part of Paseo de Gracia and walk past some emblematic buildings of the modernist route.

We will pass through the well-known Plaza Cataluña and stroll along the commercial street known as Portal del Ángel, making a stop at a store of artisanal nougat, the typical Christmas dessert enjoyed at all Spanish tables during Christmas (store open all year round).

Finally, we will end at the Plaza de la Catedral where I will explain some curiosities about it and we will see a piece of the Roman aqueduct.

This is not a specific tour of the modernist route, but it will help you situate yourself and understand the transformation of buildings and streets from the past to what we see today. I will also explain the meaning of some symbols and icons that we see daily on the streets of the city.

I accept payments in cash or Bizum.
