Tour description

Explore fascinating Mexico City from above!

On this tour, we'll visit Iztapalapa, one of the city's most populated and vibrant neighborhoods , home to 1.8 million people and surrounded by an impressive chain of extinct volcanoes.

We'll board the cable car 🚡 (Cablebús), the longest in the world , to enjoy panoramic views of the local architecture, winding streets, and mountainous landscape ⛰. From above, we'll appreciate the colorful murals and urban art that make Iztapalapa unique. 🎨

We'll discover a park with incredible views and immerse ourselves in the musical rhythms that define the area: cumbia, sonidero, and urban rock 🎤.

Throughout the tour, we'll learn about the history of daily life in the eastern part of the city at the beginning of the 20th century, the challenges its residents faced with public services, and how these problems were overcome to form a united community.

This tour is perfect for those who want to experience an authentic, non-touristy side of the city . Enjoy the scenery without much effort , as we'll only walk for 20 minutes; the rest of the time we'll travel comfortably on the metro and in the cable cars, admiring everything from above.

🔍 Recommendations:

  • Public transport card : Charged with 29 Mexican pesos per person. (If you don't have a card, you can give the money to your guide before starting.)
  • Cash : To pay for public transport and buy some typical snacks.
  • Clothing : Modest clothing is recommended. Avoid sunglasses, hats, shorts, dresses, skirts, and sandals.

Remember, seating is limited due to the size of the booths. If you can't attend, please cancel in advance so someone else can enjoy this unique experience.

Come and discover Iztapalapa from a different perspective. We look forward to a trip filled with culture, history, and spectacular views! 🚠🎨🎶
