Of Venezuelan origin, lawyer and translator by training. I dedicated myself for many years to the world of brands and entrepreneurship. My passion for travel, photography, architecture, literature, gastronomy and the art of the good life brought me to Paris my eternal favorite destination. For me it is a great pleasure to be able to show the hidden faces of this wonderful city. Get out of the clichés and tell those little anecdotes that turn a simple walk into a playful and evocative walk. Somehow I have my own version of the city. Built with many kilometers on foot, many authors who lived it to the fullest, in my own way of seeing and living it. Sharing this city with you is one of my most cherished dreams come true.
The Latin Quarter begins on the Ile de la Cité. That was where the history of Paris began. The Romans called her Lutetia. Its most emblematic monument is the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
This Gothic church has been an inspiration for many authors, especially for Victor Hugo, the great French writer who immortalized his characters Esmeralda and Quasi Modo in his masterpiece Notre Dame de Paris.
On this tour of the Latin Quarter we will be able to admire the Cathedral from a distance and learn a little about its history.
Then we will enter the Latin Quarter. We will walk along Rue de La Huchette, a very special street full of small restaurants and places where you can enjoy live music and even swing dancing.
We will visit the legendary Shakespeare & Company bookstore, the most important English-speaking bookstore in the city.
We will visit the park where the oldest tree in the city is located and we will continue our way towards Rue Saint Jacques, one of the oldest streets and one of the longest at a kilometer and a half in length.
We will visit many curious places with incredible anecdotes. We will visit the first headquarters of the Sorbonne University and then enter the Boulevard Saint Germain de Près where we will visit the oldest cafe in Paris, the place where the guillotine was invented, the Odeon Square, the Church of Saint Germain des Près, the oldest in Paris and the area of literary cafes where Paris became the meeting place of the most renowned intellectuals, philosophers and plastic artists of the 20th century.
I invite you to join me on this tour of the Latin Quarter full of curious stories, symbolism, crucial moments in the history of Paris.
To offer a more pleasant and close experience, the groups are small.
I'll wait for you!
I will be in front of the Saint Michel Fountain with a black umbrella.
