Are you visiting Siena for the first time and want to discover the most significant places of a city that was one of the most important economic and cultural centers of the Italian Middle Ages?
Free Walking Tour Siena is the visit for you! We will begin the tour outside the Church of San Domenico , where the remains of Saint Catherine , an iconic figure of the city, patron saint of Italy and Europe, are still preserved. We will descend along streets and districts, up to Fontebranda , a magical place, and then go back up to Piazza Duomo. Behind it is Santa Maria della Scala , the oldest hospital in the world. The tour will have its natural conclusion in the monumental Piazza del Campo , the beating heart of Siena culture and an extraordinary architectural setting in which the famous Palio di Siena takes place twice a year.

Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
