Duration: 2h

I am a professional wedding celebrant who has officiated weddings all over New York City, and in many other cities. Now, I also do walking tours, as a Licensed NYC Sightseeing Guide. I love meeting new people, walking around and sharing my knowledge of NYC. I've lived in NYC since 1992. I have traveled all over Europe and done walking tours in many cities. I refer to my tours as 'Christerical Tours' because I like to keep them fun. I'm also involved with the Guides Association of NY and with Big Apple Greeter.

Tour description

A Sane Person's Guide to Midtown Manhattan: Famous theaters, old buildings, incredible plazas and squares...midtown has it all, but it can be overwhelming. Learn the art of Tourist Zen - which, these days, includes finding as much air-conditioning as possible.

Practice your Zen near all the famous sites, including The Ed Sullivan Theater. Times Square, Shubert Alley, Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral and Grand Central Terminal.

For over 30 years, I've lived in NYC. I will weave my own story into the story of midtown. Yes, it is possible to live here and not be overwhelmed. Come see how locals keep calm in the middle of the busiest city in the world.

If you want to find out where the Empire State Building is, this is not the tour. If you want to find the more unusual parts of New York, this is a good tour. It gets beyond the typical tourist things (but includes some of them as well).
