I am a professional wedding celebrant who has officiated weddings all over New York City, and in many other cities. Now, I also do walking tours, as a Licensed NYC Sightseeing Guide. I love meeting new people, walking around and sharing my knowledge of NYC. I've lived in NYC since 1992. I have traveled all over Europe and done walking tours in many cities. I refer to my tours as 'Christerical Tours' because I like to keep them fun. I'm also involved with the Guides Association of NY and with Big Apple Greeter.

Tour description

Central Park Wedding Tour

Central Park is the place to get married and elope: but which spot has the best views and backdrops? Which spot is the most private? Which one is near a good restaurant?

Chris Shelley is an experienced New York Wedding Officiant who has been marrying people (to each other) since 2011. He knows all the nooks and crannies of this great city where couples can have small ceremonies. From Central Park to 5th Avenue, Lincoln Center to Grand Central Terminal, Roosevelt Island to DUMBO to the High Line, Chris can show you a variety of wedding locations and the neighborhoods that surround them. Just let him know what you're interested in seeing.

Chris is fun, lively, upbeat, interesting, and informative. He has a joy for life that is positive, engaging, and funny! He provided a good pace, curious information, and generosity of spirit. I recommend him for first time visitors as well as seasoned residents who want a nice walk with good companionship, conversation, and stories.

My wife and I love to go on walking tours. We have taken them all over the world. The tour that Chris Shelley led was one of the very best. We visited interesting sites that we would not have considered visiting before. Chris was informative with many interesting and hilarious anecdotes to share. In fact, we have agreed that Chris was the most amusing and engaging guide that we have ever had. If you get a chance, take one of Chris's tours.
