Tour description
Discover Guadalajara through its streets, flavors, and daily rhythm! In this tour, we will explore the heart of the city to learn how Guadalajara is lived, eaten, and enjoyed day by day, through its most representative spaces, cultural activity, and gastronomic tradition.
We will start in the vicinity of the imposing Guadalajara Cathedral, one of the city's most recognizable symbols. Along the way, we will learn the stories of different points in the center and how these places are part of the daily life of those who inhabit this city.
We will walk through bustling streets and visit iconic sites such as the Degollado Theater, a cultural reference of the city; the Government Palace, a stage for key episodes of the past; the Casa de los Perros, surrounded by local legends; and the Hospicio Cabañas, whose murals by José Clemente Orozco, declared a World Heritage Site, engage with the contemporary life of Guadalajara.
To conclude the tour, we will delve into the downtown markets to discover the dynamics surrounding them and taste some of the most representative dishes of Tapatío cuisine, an essential part of the city's daily life.
