Hi! I’m Oli, a professional tour guide with more than 20 years of experience helping travellers discover places, cultures and stories around the world. I studied Tour Guiding at university for four years and started my career in 2001. Since then, I’ve guided travellers in Turkey, South America and Southeast Asia, before spending 13 years specialising in private luxury travel. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of guiding people from all kinds of backgrounds — from curious backpackers to international business leaders and VIP travellers. But what I enjoy most hasn’t changed since I started: Meeting people and turning a place into a great story. My father was also a tour guide, and he continued guiding until he was 81 years old. So you could say that guiding is a little bit in my blood! Why do I love guiding? Because I don’t believe a good tour should feel like a history lesson. I love finding the stories, strange facts, local traditions and little details that make people look at a city differently. I’m particularly interested in the connection between history and modern life — not just what happened hundreds of years ago, but how that history still influences the way people live today. Having guided people from many different countries, I’ve also learned that every traveller is different. Some people love history, others are fascinated by food, politics, watches, architecture, business or simply how locals live. That’s why I like to make my tours interactive and adapt the conversation to the people in front of me. I currently live in Geneva, and I’m excited to share the city I call home with you.
