Description

Almaty Uncovered: A Journey Through Time, Culture, and Flavors

Discover the soul of Almaty on a tour where history meets modern vibe. We won’t just walk; we’ll taste, listen, and feel the city’s rhythm — from peaceful parks to the authentic flavors of the Great Steppe.

Highlights of our walk:

Abay Opera House: Our starting point, where the city's artistic heart beats and Almaty’s urban story begins.

Panfilov Promenade: A stroll through the city’s favorite pedestrian street, known for its creative atmosphere, historic architecture, and local art. (This area truly comes alive with energy on evenings and weekends!)

Zenkov Cathedral: Marvel at one of the world's tallest wooden buildings, located in the middle of a historic park.

Green Bazaar: A deep dive into the heart of nomadic food culture. We’ll visit the traditional dairy and deli aisles to try kurt, zhent, and local elixirs like kymyz.

Rakhat Factory: A sweet finish at the legendary chocolate shop — the rich aroma of cocoa will lead the way!

What makes this tour special?

This is more than a history lesson. It’s a mix of architecture, local legends, and real life. To ensure a personal, high-quality experience, I keep my groups small (up to 5 people), allowing us to truly connect and explore at a comfortable pace.

Guaranteed departure: The tour will take place even if there is only one traveler booked. I’ll also share my personal recommendations on where to find the best Kazakh cuisine and other local culinary spots to enjoy during your stay.

Important: This tour is conducted in English only to ensure a smooth and immersive storytelling experience for our international group.
