Tour description

There are many people who shamelessly claim that Santa Cruz de Tenerife isn't "all that great." Fortunately, they couldn't be more wrong, because it is "all that great." And on this tour, we're going to prove it!

From a humble fishing port to the island's capital, Santa Cruz holds countless stories within its streets. On this guided tour, we'll uncover many of them, featuring pirates, generals, and ordinary residents of Santa Cruz. A fun two-hour tour that will fly by. I promise.

The starting point will be Plaza de España and we will end at Plaza de la Candelaria with the following stops:

- San Cristóbal Castle Interpretation Center (interior only on morning tours)
- Church of the Conception
- Noria Street
- Guimerá Theater
- Valentín Sanz Street
- Chicharro Square
- Prince's Square
- Church of San Francisco

Why are the residents called "chicharreros"? What makes CD Tenerife different? Why did the city's priest write to the Pope? Who was Ángel Guimerá? And why is Carnival not just a celebration in this city, but goes far beyond that?
