I must applaud Cristina, our guru guide. She was excellent. I was really impressed with all the history, the context she gave to every attraction. I left feeling quite amazed at how Portugal as a country, and Sintra underwent so many challenges under the personalities of different kings, the breakaway from Spain, the Templars and it infact for me, took the scandal off the freemasons giving me a better understanding of their place in history. Honestly, I was very thankful for Cristina's style of explaining, bringing out the unusual like the Quinta da Regaleira , the interesting story behind esp about the bio-diversity of the foliage. I can't imagine going to Sintra without such a knowledgeable guide like Cristina. She was also very personal relating the story of her growing up there, telling us about the foods of the area...everything one would like to experience on such a visit to a mystical, magical place like Sintra. I highly recommend this trip and of course, with the great guides.

Despite the city being busy with tourists, Slava's stories transported us to a lesser known side of Sintra, where the chaos seemed to disappear and all we could see were the details he was bringing our attention to. If you're intrigued by the mystical and mysterious, Slava's tours are the way to go! Thank you so much for a wonderful afternoon, Slava, you clearly have a passion for what you do!

I have been on MANY walking tours over the years. Christina is bar far the best guide I've ever had, and I've never had a bad guide. She even tended to a guest who got ill at beginning of tour and lent me (a senior citizen) an arm on the steepest part of the tour. My appreciation for all to her
