Tour description
You will walk through the kilometer zero of Buenos Aires, where the Argentine flag was born, Perón met Evita, and today Corrientes never closes.

Hello. I'm Gabriel. History teacher, journalist, broadcaster... but if you allow me, I want to avoid labels. I don't give tours. I tell walking chronicles.
This journey is not a tourist tour. It's an immersion in San Nicolás, the neighborhood that lies beneath the cobblestones of downtown Buenos Aires. The true kilometer zero of Argentine history.
What will we do together?
Walk through streets that witnessed the birth of the nation, decided destinies, and kept secrets.
Ask ourselves: Who decided the country's future here? What was danced in that hall? What was signed on that desk?
Talk about Belgrano, who first raised the flag here in 1812; about Evita and Perón, who met at Luna Park; about Saint-Exupéry, who wrote from his lookout in the Güemes Gallery.
Enter emblematic places —if they are open— because history is not viewed from the outside. It is lived.
📍 What we will see:
🚩 The Obelisk, a symbol of the city, on the foundations of the San Nicolás chapel
🚂 Plaza Lavalle, witness to the first Argentine railway (La Porteña, 1857)
🎭 Teatro Colón, one of the top five in the world, with perfect acoustics
🍰 Confitería La Ideal, a jewel of the Belle Époque, where tango is still danced
🏙️ Güemes Gallery, the first skyscraper in Buenos Aires, home to Saint-Exupéry
🏦 Bank of London (now Hipotecario), a masterpiece of concrete and modernity
🏛️ Kirchner Cultural Center (CCK), a temple of culture in the old Central Post Office
🥊 Luna Park, stage for The Beatles, boxers, rock... and the first meeting of Evita and Perón
⛪ Basilica of La Merced, San Ramón convent, and Libertad synagogue, where faith is shared
🎬 Corrientes Avenue, the theatrical vein of the city: neon lights, classic plays, used books, pizza, and coffee
🎭 Cervantes Theater, a neo-Plateresque jewel, where Spanish is spoken as in Madrid
📍 Meeting point
Corner of Libertad 815 and Av. Córdoba, in front of the National Cervantes Theater. The tour starts on time.
Recommendations: 👟 Comfortable sneakers, water, sunscreen.
💬 At the end of the tour
The tour is free to pay. We suggest between €15 and €50 (or its equivalent in pesos). If you liked it, leave your stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and a comment. Because the best recognition is knowing that you walked with me... and left with more than just a photo.
