Free tour of the wool rugs in Teotitlán del Valle

My name is Juan, I was born into a Zapotec family, and I invite you to join me on this tour to learn about the process of making wool rugs and using natural dyes.
On this tour, you'll learn about the types of natural fibers you need to create a quality textile, as well as plants, fruits, and insects from which we can extract unique and unrepeatable colors to dye wool.
We'll observe the dyeing pots to gain a deeper understanding of the sustainability of natural dyes, and you'll also be able to observe the weaving of pieces in progress on the fantastic pedal looms.
At the end you will be able to see the wide variety of designs and finished sizes.
