Hello, dear visitors! Zagreb is my hometown, which I never leave, except when I travel like you do :) So, I am a true local guide. In 2009 I became a licensed tourist guide for Zagreb city and Zagreb County. Since then, I have been conveying my love for Zagreb to people from all over the world, presenting the city through interesting stories and facts, with fun, but in a professional way. As a big fan of travel, I got a chance to visit many countries on almost all continents, but every time upon return to my city, I fall in love with it again.

Tour description

This is an unique and the most completed walking tour of Zagreb historical part called Lower Town.

The tour is
perfect for all visitors who like architecture/art and want to see and hear about the life in Zagreb in the period from the mid of 19th century until WWII time.

It is also an excellent choice for those who either already have taken my 'Zagreb beyond the guidebooks - Upper Town' tour or any other Zagreb Upper Town tour but want to see more what Zagreb offers.

Let’s walk together through the complex of parks and squares called “Green horseshoe” to see the best examples of Art Nouveau and Art Déco styles in Zagreb.

At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, European and American urban culture gave birth to two stylistic expressions – Art Nouveau and Art Déco.

Art nouveau is recognized by its wavy, natural lines that imitate a flower at the moment of blooming, while Art déco brings cooler symmetry, glamor and strictness of geometric shapes.

Discover how the life of Zagreb citizens was at that time in comparison with a present-day life.

Find out where is a small fountain named "A boy who pees"  (Zagreb's Manneken Pis or Petit Julien :-)

This tour is easy to walk, since there is no stairs like those in Upper Town.
