Born in Madrid, I came to Venice to study 17 years ago and fell in love with the silence of a city on a human scale. I graduated in Art History between Rome and Venice and immediately began working as a tour leader and guide. Since 2017, I've been sharing this passion through walking tours. My idea of a Free Tour is, as the word suggests, to experience the city freely, walking slowly getting lost inside the amazing craftsmanship, the history, and the culture of locals, creating an authentic connection between travellers and places.

Tour description

Venice is a magical and unusual city. It wasn't built in a day but is the result of a long and complex evolution.

Ani prefers to travel in small groups so as not to have too strong an impact on the city and to give and receive a more human touch.

On the tour we will walk among urban islands, canals, gondolas, churches and saints.

We will lose ourselves in Byzantine Venice, among oriental colors, mosaics, and gold.

We will see some of the most emblematic monuments of the Sestiere di San Marco: the Rialto Bridge, St. Mark's Basilica, the Doge's Palace & the Bridge of Sighs.

We will have the opportunity to admire a masterpiece by Giambellino inside San Zaccaria, a church rebuilt by Codussi in the same period (early sixteenth century).

A little moon might accompany us.

How much does this tour cost?

Free tours don't have a fixed price. At the end, each person contributes to the guide the amount they consider fair based on their satisfaction. As a guideline, Guruwalk recommends between €15 and $50 per participant.
