Essential Free walking tours of Venice

This was a very enjoyable tour. It took us to areas of Venice that are less visited by tourist, but were full of charm and history. The tour guide was able to provide a good background of history and current information about the people who lived and worked in the areas. We had time for questions and even got to visit the inside of a spectacular church at the end of the tour we were given a QR code to get recommendations for restaurants and other sites in Venice. I recommend it highly.

Great tour that get’s you off the crowded tourist streets and into more relaxed areas

A great little tour around the backstreets of Venice learning about some of the lesser known facts. The smaller group made it more Intimate, the personal touch. Our backstreet boy added humour and personality. We also had a quick gondola ferry crossing which was a nice surprise.

Francesco was a very entertaining guide who made the tour enjoyable. He was really knowledgeable and pointed out many details we would have missed on our own. We liked that it highlighted more unusual sights, hence the name. It is a bit long with lots of walking so the coffee break was welcome.

Simon’s is very knowledgeable and knows Venice very well. Would highly recommend her.

This is one of the best tours I’ve taken in Venice!! Francesco is knowledgeable, entertaining and engaging. I really liked how he encouraged questions and discussion. His presentation style is perfect for me - he repeated important points during the walk and encouraged dynamic feedback about what we were seeing/talking about, to ensure that we understood and were getting everything we wanted from this walk. We walked in places that I, as a tourist, would never have thought to go. I ended this tour with having learned a lot about Venice - not just some glossy overview with tips on where to get the best gelato, or “best view” for a picture. Quite honestly, I felt as though I were a student of his history class and that we were on a workshop/field trip!! FIVE STAR RATING!!!
