Walking Around the Mozu Kofun World’s Largest Ancient Tomb-Mozu Sakai

The tour lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes
Available in English

Description

Step into the mystery of Japan’s ancient Kofun period on this 1 hour 15-minute walking tour around the Mozu Tombs in Sakai, Osaka.

We will meet near Mozu Station and begin our walk toward the impressive Daisen Kofun, believed to be the resting place of Emperor Nintoku and one of the largest tombs in the world.

As we walk around Daisen Park, you’ll enjoy a calm atmosphere surrounded by greenery, moats, and scenic paths. Along the way, I will share stories, legends, and hidden meanings behind the keyhole-shaped tombs, built more than 1,600 years ago.

This is a friendly, relaxed cultural walk, focused on storytelling, local insights, and peaceful exploration rather than a formal lecture. Perfect for travelers who enjoy history, nature, and quiet moments away from crowds.
