Sant Feliu de Guíxols is one of the most important towns on the Costa Brava. There is a saying that the town is a "golden cage full of owls." And that's true. It is a town that hides little gems. Let me help you discover the secrets of this place on the Costa Brava.

We start the tour at the modern harbor, where we discover one of the steam locomotives that connected the town with Girona until the 1960s. Then we head to the medieval harbor, where the remains of the first settlers were found and where the saint who gave the town its name died. Next, we stroll through the streets of Sant Feliu, where we discover the medieval cityscape and the beautiful buildings left by the wealthy bourgeoisie who were involved in the cork trade, such as the Casino. Passing by the old hospital and the town market, where we can talk about the local gastronomy, we approach the remains of the significant Benedictine monastery. If you wish, we can optionally extend our tour and climb Mount Sant Elm, where the chapel of the same name is located and from which there is a magnificent view of the coast. According to some versions, this view inspired the writer Ferran Agulló more than 100 years ago to give the Costa Brava its name.
