Tour description
In 1935, Adolf Hitler designated Munich the “Hauptstadt der Bewegung,” the Capital of the Movement. This was no coincidence: it was here that the NSDAP, the National Socialist Party, was founded in 1920, and where the streets, squares, and beer halls became the key stage for rallies, parades, and propaganda of the Nazi regime.
Munich was also the starting point for some of the darkest episodes of the 20th century. Hitler's failed coup took place here, the systematic persecution of the Jewish population began with Kristallnacht, and the first Nazi concentration camp, Dachau, was established very close to the city.
This tour invites you to explore the places where Hitler and the party's top officials planned and consolidated their power, spaces that marked the beginning of a machine of terror that affected Germany and the entire world.
Explore and discover with us how a vibrant, cultural city was used as the cradle of one of the most devastating ideologies in history.
