Tour description

Hi! I’m Jovana, a licensed tour guide, born and raised in Podgorica - and this city is my story.

If you’re curious about places that don’t scream for attention but quietly grow on you, you’re in the right spot.

In just two hours, we’ll walk through 2,000 years of history - from Roman traces to Ottoman times, socialist Yugoslavia, and modern independent Montenegro. But don’t worry - this isn’t a boring history class :D
We begin at the iconic Clock Tower, where the Ottoman past still whispers through stone walls. From there, we head to the peaceful meeting point of the Ribnica and the Morača - one of the most symbolic and photogenic spots in the city.

We’ll cross into the modern part of Podgorica, pass cultural landmarks, walk through the green calm of Njegošev park, and step into the lively pedestrian zone where locals actually live their everyday rhythm.

Our walk finishes near the charming St. George Church, at the foot of Gorica - the heart and lungs of Podgorica.

And if you’d like, we can end the tour the local way: with a coffee, a croissant, or a beer at one of the favourite local spots. Because understanding a city always happens best at the table :)
Podgorica may not impress you at first glance... but by the end of this walk, you might see why we who live here never really leave! :)
