Tour description
In this Free Tour you will be able to experience the local street food and market culture of the Mixcoac neighborhood, an area localy famous for its miriad of street food options. We'll visit several street food stands and taquerias, where you will have the chance to taste whatever you like (note that as a free tour food is not included!)
First we will have a quick introduction on the history of the neighborhood and why it is so important for locals today, after that we will begind the tour with a quick stop for Tacos the canasta, the everyday quick snack for college students. Then we will visit the most legendary gorditas place in mexico city, after that we'll head to mixcoac market where you can experience mexican street seafood and traditional candy, as well as the history of the market! There will be extra stops thst change depending on the day of the week as not all street food stands are open everyday.

We'll meet outside of metro Mixcoac in its esplanade infront of the KFC, you can find me carrying a big green umbrella.

Fist Taco Stop, tacos de canasta
In our fist stop we'll learn about the humble taco de canasta, not the flashiest taco but one known for saving lots of students from hunger.

Gorditas Hermanos Luna
Our second stop will be in one of the most legendary street food places in mexico city and home of the Gordita al Pastor

Quesadilla and tlacoyo stop
Our third stop will be dedicated to blue corn and the two dishes best known for it, the tlacoyo, mexican best vegan dish, and the world famous quesadilla, prepared the authentic style
