Joana: “I chose to become a guide in Guimarães so I could share my love for the city, its history, legends, and hidden gems, while also managing my own schedule and dedicating more time to my family, as I am the mother of a three-year-old girl. I love meeting people and sharing knowledge and experiences. My background in communication and arts & culture management, together with my three years of experience as a guide in Guimarães, has given me the skills and knowledge to offer you a complete and engaging tour.” Joaquim: “Driven by a deep passion for history, especially Portuguese and local history, I decided to become a local guide. History is also my academic field: I hold a degree in History from the University of Porto and I am currently pursuing a master’s degree. Guiding visitors through the city allows me to combine my academic work with my love for sharing history. As a native of Guimarães, my connection to the city is truly special. I am deeply proud of its heritage, traditions, and culture.
