Join this unique walking tour through one of the most meaningful historical areas in Seoul.
We will visit:
- Seodaemun Prison History Hall
- Independence Gate
- Yeongcheon Market
The distance from 1 to 3 is about a 700-meter walk, which takes around 10 minutes. On the way, we will stop briefly at Independence Gate for a short explanation before continuing to the market.
- At Seodaemun Prison, you will hear powerful stories about Korea’s independence movement and the people who sacrificed for freedom. ( 90 min )
- At Independence Gate, I will explain the historical shift from a tributary relationship with China to Korea’s declaration of independence. ( 10 min )
- Finally, we will explore Yeongcheon Market, a lively local market where you can experience authentic Korean active street food and daily life. Short explanation walking around the market and after the tour, you can enjoy your lunch here ( 10 min )
