My name is Pedro, and I am the founder of Almafuerte, an organization dedicated to cultural tourism. I was born in Patagonia and have lived in the La Boca neighborhood for the past five years. My greatest wish is that anyone who comes to Argentina, upon setting foot on this land, feels a little bit Argentine. This would be a great honor and bring me immense satisfaction. In the Argentine heart, no one is a foreigner if they come with the desire to feel like one of our brothers and sisters. That heart and that brotherhood are what we offer most sincerely and most preciously.

Tour description

Belgrano hides much more than it shows. On this tour, you will walk along cobblestone streets surrounded by 19th-century stately mansions, discover the most photographed tree tunnel in Buenos Aires, stand in front of the church that inspired Ernesto Sábato, and understand why this neighborhood was, for a time, the capital of Argentina.

You will learn the history behind the Hirsch Palace, whose art collection ended up in the National Museum of Fine Arts; the gazebo where every weekend locals dance tango as they have for over a hundred years; and a Statue of Liberty that—according to some historians—is older than the one in New York.
The tour concludes in the Chinatown, an unexpected and colorful finale in the heart of Buenos Aires, with Buddhist temples, markets, and aromas that transport you to another continent without leaving Buenos Aires.
A tour for the curious, history lovers, and those interested in the hidden corners that maps don't show.
