Hello food lovers! Want to experience Palermo's authentic street food at a local restaurant? We've got you covered!

Join us for a relaxing and intriguing exploration of the best street food selections of the day.

The gastronomic adventure takes place in the city center, in the old port area of La Cala-Vucciria-Kalsa. We'll take you to our favorite food vendors, mostly run by the same families for decades.

We'll share the stories and curiosities behind each dish, the secrets of our mothers' recipes... and more! Each street food tells a story of Palermo's history, from the herbs brought by the Arabs to the rich dishes introduced by the Spanish.

You'll taste what we call the "6 pack of Palermo," the 6 pillars of local street food:

- Arancini with ragù

- Sfincione focaccia with tomato sauce and onion

- Panelle: chickpea fritters

- Cazzilli: potato croquettes

- the famous/infamous pani ca' meusa

- cannoli or ice cream

Food Notes: Vegetarian and pescetarian options are available at most locations. This tour is not suitable for vegans, gluten-sensitive travelers, or those with dairy allergies.

Who pays for the food and the guide?

Food and drinks are at your own expense. We will pre-book your street food package in advance to make sure you get to try the key local specialties. You will pay the vendor directly on-site, so please remember to bring €20 in cash.

As for the guide, this is a free-tip based tour, so you can tip the guide at the end of the tour for the amount you believe it's worth the experience. We only accept tips in EUR, you can use cash or paypal.

How much does this tour cost?

Free tours don't have a fixed price. At the end, each person contributes to the guide the amount they consider fair based on their satisfaction. As a guideline, Guruwalk recommends between €15 and $50 per participant.
