Join us for a day trip from Tashkent to the Uzum Sayli (Grape Festival) in Zarkent village, Parkent District, on 21–22 August 2026.
We meet at Mashinasozlar Metro Station at 15:00 in Tashkent and take a public minibus towards Parkent Bazaar. The minibus costs less than $1 per person.From Parkent Bazaar, I will hire a private minivan to take us to Zarkent village, where the Uzum Sayli festival is held. The minivan costs approximately $10.
Parkent is one of Uzbekistan’s famous grape-growing regions, surrounded by beautiful foothills, vineyards and countryside.
The festival traditionally features:
Grape exhibitions – discover different varieties of locally grown grapes and learn about Parkent’s viticulture traditions.
Agricultural fairs – local farmers and producers present fresh agricultural products and regional specialties.
Traditional Uzbek food – discover local dishes and regional specialties presented by local participants.
Traditional crafts and culture – see Uzbek handicrafts, national clothing and demonstrations of traditional skills.
Live concerts and performances – enjoy live music, Uzbek singers, folklore groups, dancing and cultural performances during the festival.
Competitions and exhibitions – farmers, craftsmen and other participants showcase their best products and compete in different categories.
