I have taken a few free tours, and this one was among the best. Tammy knows so much about her city and conveyed in a fun and interesting way. She answered all of my questions. She speaks good English. If you are interested in learning more about the land and river across from the Bund, take this tour!

KLEINGRUPPE - Kostenlose Tour durch die Altstadt von Shanghai: Yuyuan Old Street & Stadtgott-Tempel

I absolutely loved this tour! As a solo traveller, I got to meet so many people, and there was plenty of time to socialise, admire the views, and learn from the guide. The tour was very well-paced and informative, with a great mix of experiences and diversity throughout. I honestly wished I could do it all over again! I would definitely recommend this tour and suggest making it one of the first things you do in Shanghai!

This 4-hour tour went by much faster than I expected! The short break helped and we were able to get something to eat, drink, and use the bathroom. The bao spot was amazing and the vegetable bao was vegan which was a nice surprise for me. What I liked the most about this tour was understanding some cultural nuances the guide share, things I wouldn't have learned on my own and didn't come up in all my research for this trip. Really appreciate Donna's patience in answering all my questions, too!

I loved this Shanghai French Concession walking tour so much last year that when I returned to Shanghai with my husband, was enthusatic about doing it again. It was just as enjoyable the second time, with fascinating history, beautiful streets and a great guide. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai.
