Tara is a great guide! He paced the tour perfectly so that I don’t feel tired towards the end even though we covered so much ground. He gave a superb overview of the city as well and I’m glad I took this tour with him for the start of my trip to Yogya. All the food he introduced to me were amazing and on point and was beyond what I’ve already wanted to try on my own. Highly recommend Tara for guides!

Not a lot of walking but plenty of eating! Do come hungry, now is your opportunity to try all the delicious street food that you may not consider otherwise. We had a full dinner and drinks, additional costs but very reasonable. Evelyn gave us info and general tips about Yogyakarta and was very personable with excellent English. Highly recommend.

Sovia was an absolute highlight of our time in Yogyakarta! She took us on an incredible journey that went far beyond the usual tourist path, immersing us deeply in the rich local traditions and, of course, the amazing culinary heritage of the city. Every stop on the tour was carefully chosen, offering a perfect blend of authentic flavors, fascinating cultural insights, and heartwarming stories. Sovia's warmth, deep knowledge, and genuine passion for her culture made us feel instantly welcome and completely cared for throughout the day. She has a true gift for sharing the soul of Yogyakarta in a way that feels personal, engaging, and unforgettable. If you want to experience the true essence of the city through its food and traditions, spending a day with Sovia is an absolute must. Thank you for such a wonderful and memorable experience—you truly are the best!

Sovia was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive throughout the entire tour. She did her absolute best to accommodate everyone’s needs and we spent hours walking around central Yogyakarta, which honestly felt like catching up with an old friend while she showed us around her city.. Her warm personality made the experience so enjoyable, and I learned so much about Yogyakarta, its culture, history, and gastronomy thanks to her. I couldn’t recommend her more! 😊

We met Jennifer at the meeting point and started the tour. We visited really really good and unique places for food, where we never would've been going alone. Everything Jennifer suggested for food was really tasty! We got a real good impression about the streetfood-scene in Yogya and especially Malioboro Street. Above all, Jennifer was a really kind and nice person who was fun to chat with and share the evening together. Thank you very much, we had a really great time! Marie and Oliver
